I would like to propose that the bonuses you get from these two stats not be in effect until after you graduate from the Academy and become a Genin.
As it is currently, Hard workers have a large advantage during their academy time because only those who are genin or higher can do any missions, meaning geniuses can't access their bonus while hard workers can. I think its only fair that the stat doesn't become active until graduating, because the gap in stats, while it would seem more miniscule as our stats rose, could never really be closed.
And if you need justification manga wise, the hard workers in the series (Rock Lee, Naruto, Iruka) always goofed off in the academy. It wasn't until they graduated and became genin that they actually took their training seriously and really started trying to build up their reputation.

I think that this does make sense. And we all want this to be as fair as possible. Or want it to seem like we do anyhow.

Most people would just state that because they are the Genius type which you really cant get at until you Graduate from the acadamy mean while hard workers can use it right away. Your idea is good in all, I just think that we should leave it as is. BUT add something in to the Genius type to allow them to do something more right now whilest they cant do missions

Adding in something extra to the genius type would then make it better than Hard worker. As they are right now, the two are balanced (I would assume). The only imbalancing issue is access to the traits. This would correct the imbalance.

You know there, Bubb-o, one could argue you're only taking the side you are are for the exact same reason why we are on the side we are on. As you don't want the right away advantage to go away that you do indeed have at the moment. And really, since there is no other training available other than missions and actual training training, what would you suggest? Less learning times on techs? But then that wouldn't be fair for anyone, cause thats not something you can just get rid of after you graduate. And I am sure even though for missions Genius' only make 1.5x more stats doesn't make up for that fact quite yet in most peoples minds, though we won't know for sure until the game starts. So any actual sugestions from anyone thats fair on all sides.. give 'em a shot.

How about this: If a person fails their Genin Acceptance Exam, they can then get their Hard Worker bonus while in the Academy. If you are a Genius and you fail, you will have the choice of going to Hard Worker type.
Remember. Genius' are naturally good, and are recommended for those who can hold their own in RP. While Hard Workers are more for people that might need better stats to help them complete missions, if they aren't as good at RP.
The bonuses even out, generally, but Training is risk free and results are almost instanteous, while Missions may take a bit longer to complete and if you fail them, you don't gain anything. Sometimes the bonuses Genius' gain from Missions may be greater than training bonuses, but that's only because of the amount of risk involved.

Gaoh you just dont want your so called "bonus" to go away right off because then you may not be about to be one of the strongest because you cannot hold your own in an rp fight like Elli or Sol could.

Well what i saw is that is is even, Hard workers may have the advantage right off the back, but it does now go far, later on you will have so many stats and missions will give lots of power. hard workers don't get that bonus and that gives the genius people allot of power.
(yes this is Nick, and i have learned how to spell check)

You are aware that the amount gained from training inreases per Rank, right? At Jounin Level, Hard Workers will be gaining 16 in a stat per day of training, while Genius' will only gain 8. And at that level, Missions become longer and harder and a lot riskier.

Anyways, I've decided to go with my compromise. Even if you don't think you'll pass the Acceptance Exam with the bare minimum, take it anyways so you can get your Hard Worker Bonus as well as learn your Unqiue/Kekkei Genkai.
