No, I have not forgotten about this site. In fact, I've been working on a way to save it.
As some of you may have been aware, it is chronologically impossible to do all of the missions for everybody in a short amount of time.
This could be solved if all the missions (C and above) involved fighting other player squads or major NPC's (such as NPC Villians). But not everyone takes their missions at the same time.
How do we solve this? Here's how. Assigned Missions. Once you declare to your Jounin that you are "Mission Ready", you will officially be in your squad. Your leader will give you a Mission Rank (you won't really have a choice, for the most part, but demands for higher (or lower, if you've been struggling, but if you're struggling, you will generally be assigned a lower mission anyways) missions may occur through RP.) and a Mission start date.
Any Jutsu's that are being learned will still occur during a mission.
So if you were in the middle of learning a Jutsu, you wouldn't have to stop.
With that new mission system, it feels more like the actual series as well, as that's generally what happened in Naruto.
Hard Worker bonus would be lowered back to either X2 or X2.5 (I haven't decided yet).
The only real downside to all of this is that I would be forced to put everyone back at either starting Genins (for those who passed the Exam the first time) or Students that are ready to take the Exam (for those who didn't pass the first time).
It's the only way to make it fair and allow a makeup for lost time.
I realize that won't really be that popular with some people, but it's the only way.
Anyways, post your comments, and I think that we'll try this again at the start of Feburary (just for Exam reasons)

Doing it this way has a couple of problems with it.
1: Even with only a x2 or x2.5 bonus, Geniuses will fall behind Hard workers because missions would no longer be a comparable source of advancement when compared to training. Missions already carry the risk of failure and death, while training is safer, which more or less evens the two out. However, with missions only on set dates, and training available whenever you want, the two can no longer compete. Say with current mission/training values, two genin from the same village, a Genius and hard worker, train for a week, and during the week have a C rank mission. The hard worker, with a x2 bonus, gains 56 stats to the Genius's 28. Then during the C rank, assuming a success, the Genius gains 18 while the Hard worker only gets 12. Total over just the one week, the Hard worker has gained 68 stats while the Genius has only gained 46. Unless D ranks remain the same as they are now, the whole system will have to be revamped, as the gap will increase with time. Even then, the training values for higher missions would have to be drastically increased, which would in turn mean that one failure would be even more devastating than before. So um... yeah I dunno.
2: I think if this 'reset' does happen, we simply freeze the site and give people the time from when they joined to the site freeze. Otherwise I think we'll see a loss of interest from some people.

What if both the Hard Worker bonus and the Genius was X1.5? Or if the Genius bonus was upped to X2. Or maybe if Genius' gained more from fights.
Also, if you're willing to go and do that, then that's a good compromise, but it would take awhile to figure that out, I think. But we'll see.

I agree, it would be a bit of work to do, but I'd be willing to do it. It would also be more fair for people like Waxler and Adam who got kinda screwed over. I'd just need to know the freeze date.

I think that is a good idea i am willing to sacrifice things because i want this site to go on, Althought my rank wont really be affected since i passed on my first try but like Des said, People like Roshito and mike and adam will get a better chance at things

Oh I like the idea. It is a good way to keep everything organized and then this time one person/people cant get so far ahead of everyone else. plus it would really give me a chance this time around.

i like the frezze idea, but people like me and roshito (people who dont have that many RP skills)would be sevirely screwed over. we would learn our techs, and then all we could do is train. No genkkai since we havent taken the test "yet", and no new techs since were not genins"yet".
so i would agree with the freeze alsong as eveyone started as a genin with beginer stats, and we go from there (like that we can all have a fair choice of what we are going to do.

That's stupid-Why should everyone be put on an equal level because some people couldn't pass their tests? Does it 'screw' you over? Maybe. Maybe you should take that as a hint to work harder and get better? I see no reason to start everyone off on an even level just because people couldn't past the test. If we do, why the Hell is there even a test?

If we do, why the Hell is there even a test? That was exactly my point in me doing that. Most of the people who failed the test the first time needed better stats to do so. So why should you start as a Genin with the same stats as those who passed with the bare minimum?

Asuming we are giving people the ability to learn tech and train to a power at were they would be, The freeze Idea.
People that would be allowed to start as Genin, would have the advantage to learn techs from that, and would be able to be mission ready the moment the site restarted, and even though the Acadamy ninjas would be passing the test the next day, the would have no techs and would have to spend atleast 8 days to learn there genkai and other techs. This is unfair, and would leave the people that are already behind farther behind.
If we only get to be test ready, then again, next day, we pass test. and that would be fair. but it would be allot of people that would be wanting to do the test day one, and that would be hard for you as a webmaster.

You don't have to be a genin to learn D rank jutsus. You just have to have all the stat requirements
